You need a virtual mailbox in Florida. Maybe the business runs from a spare room in Hialeah, maybe from an office in Orlando, maybe from another country. Either way, you want the company's mail to land somewhere that isn't your kitchen counter. Somewhere with a real street address, where a person actually takes the letters from the mail carrier.
That's our Address plan. A Florida virtual mailbox for your business or LLC at 2125 Biscayne Blvd in Miami, with our own team receiving the mail in the building and a photo of every envelope on your phone. It's $39 a month today, month to month, and you sign up online in a few minutes.
What a virtual business mailbox with us looks like
- A real street address: "2125 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 300 #" plus your mailbox number, Miami, FL 33137. It's a landmark office building on Biscayne Boulevard, not a P.O. box (the small box you rent inside a post office).
- Our own team on site: we take in every letter ourselves, in the building. Not a drop box, not someone else's counter.
- A photo of every envelope in the app: generally the same business day it arrives, or the next one if it comes in late. You see who wrote before you decide anything.
- Scans and forwarding when you ask: open and scan an envelope for $2.50 (up to 10 pages), have letters forwarded anywhere for the carrier's postage plus $5, or pick them up in person in Miami.
- No contract and no setup fee: cancel from your account whenever you like.
Address is built for letters and large envelopes. If your business gets regular packages, the bigger plans below take care of them.
Signing up takes minutes
- Pick a plan and pay online. Your address and mailbox number are assigned as soon as you pay.
- Verify who you are. USPS, the US Postal Service, asks everyone who uses a mailbox like this for a short permission form called PS Form 1583, plus two IDs. You fill it in your account and sign on a quick video call with an online notary, included.
- Start using it. Once we approve the form, the address can go on your website, invoices and state filings, and envelopes start showing up in the app.
A virtual mailbox for your LLC
Plenty of people looking for a virtual mailbox for an LLC have one worry: their home address on Sunbiz, the Florida state website where every LLC is registered and anyone can look it up for free.
A business mailbox takes care of most of that. Florida lets your LLC's mailing address be a P.O. box or a commercial address, so your mailbox address fits that line well, and the manager's address on the yearly report can be a business address too. The principal office is the tricky line. It has to be where the business is actually run, and whether a mailbox address counts there is a gray area. We go line by line in a business address for your Florida LLC.
One thing a mailbox can't be is your registered agent, the person or company that accepts lawsuits and legal papers for your LLC. We don't offer that service, so you'll need a separate one.
Your address also carries a "#" before the mailbox number, because USPS requires it. Here's what PMB means in an address and how to write it on forms.
Virtual mailbox vs virtual office
Here's the plain version. A virtual mailbox is an address and someone handling your mail. A virtual office is that same address with more of a company around it, like a phone number, packages, a document that proves your business address and a room to meet clients.
With us they're the same address on different plans. You start with the mailbox and grow into the office without changing your letterhead, your website or your Sunbiz record.
Business, $89 a month today, adds 20 open-and-scans a month, up to 5 packages a month, a Miami number with call forwarding and a service agreement you can show as proof of your business address. Executive, $199 a month, adds up to 10 check deposits a month into your own US bank account, up to 15 packages and 4 meeting room hours a month.
A quick way to choose: on Address, 20 scans would cost $50 on top of the $39. So once you're opening about 20 letters a month, Business costs the same and throws in packages and the phone number. Below that, Address is the better deal, and plenty of small businesses never need more.
The full side-by-side, including a home address and a P.O. box, is on virtual office vs virtual mailbox. Every fee is on the pricing page, and paying yearly gets you 2 months free.
Why Biscayne Boulevard
2125 Biscayne Blvd sits in Edgewater, on the main boulevard between Downtown and Midtown Miami. People in Miami know the street, and clients abroad tend to know the name too. It works just as well for a company in Tampa or Jacksonville, since your mail reaches you as photos wherever you are.
What it won't do
- It isn't a home. A mailbox address can't stand in where a form asks where you reside.
- Banks decide for themselves. Some don't accept virtual addresses as the company address. Mercury, an online business bank, says so plainly. Ask yours first.
- It isn't a Google Maps listing. Google doesn't allow a Business Profile at a rented mailing address you don't work from.
